Yesterday vs. Today

Well, I have virtually no reason at all to post today, I just really wanted an excuse to use this adorable new bunny in the snow icon before it got too warm for it to get any play. Feel free to skip this entry since I’ll just be talking piffle.

Tomorrow I meet with my machine quilter (doesn’t that make her sound like a robot?) to pick up my Nintendo quilt, all nice and finished. Then I need to call Justin’s mom right away to ask if she can drive me in to the guild on Monday night to submit it for the EQG “March Quilt Fever” show, that will be taking place at Neilsen Park Community Centre March 24, 25 and 26th if you want to check out some cool textile design.

Okay, so yesterday I hit the low point with the old food consumption:

Breakfast: orange juice and a banana before I left the house, then
Second Breakfast: **a medium double-double coffee and a lemon donut** (it felt like I was eating Satan himself)
Lunch: some huge salad thingy with red wine vinegar dressing, sliced turkey on a slice of flax-seed bread with margarine
Snack: yellow peppers, an apple, and 2 cups of tea with milk and sugar
Dinner: 20 mini-eggs, 5 Ferrero-Rochers (which I blame on , for his yummy munchies post), two glasses of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon (from a Tetra-pak!), tea with milk and sugar and three hard-shell beef tacos with cheese and sour cream

Today so far:
Brekkies: tea with milk (no sugar!), toasted flax seed bread with margarine and a 1/2 cup of cooked egg whites, some carrots, strawberry low fat yogurt and a banana
lunch: mini-tin of thai chili tuna, a wedge of vache qui rit cheese, some thai broth (yuck – never again)
Snacks: red sweet pepper, earl grey tea (still no sugar), a pickle, four pieces of mini-toast with salmon light cream cheese, more bloody baby carrots
Dinner: who knows?

Resolution: drink more water, less sugary tea, and try to avoid Easter chocolate binging. Goal: don’t look like sad whale-woman on beach in Bahamas next month.

  1. I have virtually no reason to respond to this post, except to say that your new icon is ADORABLE TIMES TWELVE and I want to hug the bunny.

Also, you coming to the partay Sat?

  2. Yes’m. I will be there, and I think JVL may be in attendance as well.

Hug the bunny! I love it too. 🙂

In fact, I’m going to aggressively overuse said icon by including it in this comment on the post which was created almost exclusively to showcase it!

  3. Now I feel inclined to reply JUST TO USE MY SNOW-RELATED ICON. You are a bad influence.

  4. I have to reiterate to you what I said to yesterday, because I think it applies to us both equally: we don’t need to worry about our figures on the beach, because nobody can look directly at our BLINDING WHITENESS for more than a millisecond anyway. A fleeting impression is all they’ll get.
