Saturday Goings On

Yesterday:
-started watching the 2 DVD set of the BBC’s 6 episode vampire thriller ‘Ultraviolet’ with . It is AWESOME. Thank you, ! I hope you and Joyce enjoy ‘Firefly’ as much as I love this. Joe Ahearne is a worthy trade for Joss Whedon.

– went to work, with my grumpy turned on full blast. Grumpy got worse. Had to leave and do some retail therapy on my lunchhour to soothe myself. Bought green Angelic Ivan Fluevog shoes. How can you NOT want shoes that advertise their soles as being resistant to “alkalai, water, acid, fatigue, and Satan”? They’re shiny! (Hilarious aside: John Fluevog’s named his newest shoe line ‘Seventh Heaven’ – I can’t escape the horror! It’s on my *feet* now.)

– shovelled the Snail’s sidewalk and wrung out the mats again and again and again. Snow, snow, snow!

– had visitors in the form of with Husband and Sprout in tow. Baby was unimpressed with the comic store atmosphere at first, and we speculated that perhaps the geek gene had perhaps skipped a generation, but afterwards was calm and then set up a fuss when he was made to leave the store. ‘Course, that could always have just been because the outside was freezing cold. Only time will tell. was also in attendance.

– left work, went to Bishop for “just one pint” in celebration of AVL’s birthday. Proceed to lose wallet, which is shitty. Leave pub and go on frenetic search. Find wallet. Decide I need another drink after all the kerfuffle. Eventually, alcohol leads to dancing, which is carried out with Ciaran, Sarrah, Bonnie & at Left Bank.

I need a nap. Maybe several. I’m going to go make a pot of tea, run a hot bath, and use my orange-scented Super Mario Kubrick fizzy bath bomb now, and see which figure I got. Let’s hope it’s Donkey Kong or Wario.

  3. It says the bottom of the shoe is made from 7th Heaven material, are they made with *real* 7th Heaven cast member souls? That would make them resistant to Satan, but horribly prone to cliche sermons and after-school special dialogue. I’d be careful wearing those shoes, if I were you.
