Down

I feel really bummed out today. Been feeling this way all week. Don’t want to do anything but crawl under the covers in bed with a flashlight and read mystery novels.

Maybe it’s the weather. I want to run away and join the circus and never hear another thing about RRSPs or taxes or mortgages or school again. I don’t want to do any more domestic tasks or monotonous office work. I just want to be.

  1. … is a totally ridiculous Will Ferrel movie. Which is what I believe I am seeing tonight, at the Rainbow (only $4.25!) with my sister and cousin. Wanna come with?

Failing that, perhaps you’d like to get together tomorrow in my NEWLY CLEANED apartment for some sangria (or similar) and snacks (or similar) and some oldschool geek fun (ie we’ll plan to do something else, but we’ll end up on my computer again)?

  2. I second Chrissy’s motion. And then maybe you could see me too (I could do some utterly Melly like to send you into fun hysterics) if I come over to pick up Chrissy’s keys.

    Or not.

Maybe it’s the thought of me, that’s making you down in the dumps. I know *I* depress *me* sometimes.

    *hug*

  3. hi. obviously you don’t know me, as i’m surfing friends-of-friends.

but – i saw your icon. and – eeeiiiiiieeee! ultimate guitly pleasure movie. LOVE IT.

also, i hope you feel less down, more up, soonest.

  4. Maybe what we need is a girl’s night! You’re all achy and de-cuticled, you could use some sangria, too!

  5. 🙂

I highly recommend the LJ of . She’s someone I went through higschool with, and she’s an extremely entertaining writer. You may even have read some of her stuff on tmb.net, under a different name.

  6. I *could* use some sangria – it’ll make everything ALL BETTER.

Whattaya say, Mo? Wanna come out and play? (This is actually a rhetorical question, as I’ve decided you have NO CHOICE!)

    Puleeeeeeze?

  7. That’s a lot of persuasion. I think I must say yes.
    So, yes.

    Yes.

    Good company is good news.

ps – Did I miss a post? Why is Melly de-cuticled?

  8. You are not depressing. You are Melly.

Melly is loving, and amusing, and she gives hugs.

That is not what depressing is about.

I think maybe, I need to MAKE more things. But for now, I will make time for friends. That’s a start.

  9. Yay!

I’ll fill you in on everything tomorrey night.

It’s a looong story that defintely requires boozahol.

McChrissy, what timeth should we be arriving at your abode?

  10. If it is not raining, I would really like to walk home, so as to continue with Operation Anti-Grimace. Is 6pm ok?

  11. Yes.

That’s why I said tomorrey and not tonighty. Or something.

    Crackhead. 😉

  12. That’s doable. I have some pre-trip shopping to do, so that’ll give me some time to do it!

  13. Very good then. Tomorrow at 6ish, home of Chrissy, bring red wine and self.

    Check.

  14. For some reason, random postings carry an amazing comforting power. The knowledge that people who don’t know me personally read bits of my life and wish me well is really soothing.

And I also love Real Genius. Still hasn’t staled on me.

(ps – Your LJ site design is very lovely)

  15. you are welcome!

    i meant it sincerely.

plus, you are chrissy’s friend, so like you by default! i knew the name sounded familiar when i went to leave the comment.

i tried to explain the talking braces scene to a friend of mine who’d never seen the movie… guess you had to be there.
