First, everyone who sent in culinary support/recipies – I adore you. Each and every one of you. I took all of your suggestions to heart, and will be sure to import as many of you as I can pack into my luggage to come here and cook in my place next year. My suggestions of stir fry and soup were overruled, so Aunty Irene’s chicken curry is the order of the evening, and I’ve been instructed to chop vegetables, make runs to the store for necessary stuff, and be as helpful as possible in the kitchen without getting in the way.
Secondly, I have posted some photos to my other diary, and will put up more as soon as I’ve made a run for coconut milk and butter to the shop.
Damn. Now I have to go back to that museum and see it for real this time. Somehow, touring the place with your cousin and the Brothers Byers didn’t result in the same feats of debauchery. All that coat ever did while I was there sit on its pretty little pirate body and bore me. DO YOU KNOW HOW TEMPTING THAT RIGGING WAS? GAH! (of course you do, you climbed it..). I want a pass back in time to see that danged museum RIGHT!
(at least we had a shared love for that creepy goat).
No more tales of pirating and plunder until you FILL OUT MY TURNIP POLL!!!
Got it, Hallam?
Happy? 😀
