So. Much. Work.

Two press conferences to cover in the past two days. Both on the seniors portfolio – first elder abuse, now drug benefits. Have been taking taxis all over the city – up to the Legislature, down to my office, up to Bloor Street, down to my office. It’s a lot more interesting than the incessant photocopying of my old job, but the deadlines for reporting to the Minister’s Office are tight, and a lot of people are going to notice if I make a mistake. I’m half thriving on the new stress and attention (every morning at 9am I make the branch report so everyone must LISTEN TO ME for 15 minutes mwah ha ha!), and half wishing for the silent productivity of my old job. Ah well, I’ll be back to the daily, thankless grind of media monitoring soon enough. No time to get nostalgic for it – it’s only a month’s secondment.

  1. Well, I’m encouraging you. Cause those two issues are important to me. Which isn’t really the point, I just thought I’d say so.

  3. Yes, given my father’s situation, they are very close to my heart as well.

    Makes the stress worthwhile. 🙂
