Strongly considering booking Monday off work, to rest up after working at the Silver Snail on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not to mention the Batchelorette. Ouch. Looks like JVL and I will be spending one last night at my old apartment before I say goodbye to it forever. We both wrap up our respective Saturday ventures post-midnight, so we’re going to crash out on ye olde futon.
I *NEED* to get glasses. Soon. This contact lens nonsense is driving me insane. It’s just not right. My face looks all naked and weird – my most normal time of day is first thing in the morning and last thing at night, when I put on Justin’s glasses to navigate the stairs on the way to and from the bathroom.
Nearly finished book three of the Precious Ramotswe detective fiction series on transit to work this morning. The desire to read – actual novels, not just comics – is rising strongly in me again. This makes me think that perhaps it’s time to delve into the basement and start unpacking my books. It’ll be like Christmas!
Trying to assuage my chocolate craving with apple juice is blatantly not working. My tastebuds are smarter than I thought. Maybe they want to eat chocolate brains! (I *so* want to throw a zombie-themed party with those as hors d’oeuvres right now: maybe for the DVD release of ‘Resident Evil:2’? or ‘Shaun of the Dead’?)
haha! i was right, my friend’s dad IS the author of the Precious Ramostwe books. she says to look out for book six, which she said moved her to tears at the end (and not just because her dad wrote it). i *so* want to get the rest of the series now, i really liked the first one and am hearing more and more good things about them. hmm. am attempting to read Life of Pi right now, which i’ve heard mixed reviews about (you said you didn’t like it, right?)…anyway, fun fun. ta 🙂
