C is for Yoshi’s Cookie?

Okay, so I think I was on the wrong track yesterday with the whole “baking” idea.

I just bought myself a cookie, and as I was munching on it, it hit me: YOSHI!

Tonight I’m going to go home and ask JVL if I can borrow his GameBoy and try again to complete Yoshi’s Island, a GBA game which I have been playing intermittently for months upon months now. Do you think I can persuade him to loan me his toy?

  1. Or our house to play NINTENDO BONGAS?!?

(Although actually not tonight, because I have a recording session — although actually, maybe the boy is bored, so…)

  2. Whoa. You got the bongas? Rawk.

We will be over soonish to come play. Tonight, I’ll be hanging out with Chrissy (themusesbitch), and Friday JVL has his friend Glenda coming over, but tomorrow…? Or any other time?

Maybe, if we love you, we will bring Katamari Damacy along (wait, hold the phone, do you have a PS2?)

  3. We do not, sadly, have a PS2. You could bring yours though…. 😉 Tomorrow I have to sing for Jesus, but… well, anything beyond tomorrow is getting to far away to plan. But I think we have to have some kind of sick and crazy couples’ video game night, for sure. OMG fun!

The bongos… I can’t believe they’re fun, but they really are. Nuts to you, guy at EB who sneered at me for buying them! (And I can’t believe how BAD I AM AT THEM. I went to music school!!)

  4. We really could bring ours. It’s so goddamn small it practically fits in my wallet. Seriously. The problem being, then we need 2 TVs. Grr-argh.

Maybe we can hold this at the condo or something (except JVL loathes it there – it’s too chic by half for his tastes). But at the condo I have 2 TVs! And you could bring the bongos! And we could walk downstairs and get take-out chocolate-banana milkshakes from Fran’s! Do you see the masterfulness of this alter-plan?!?!?

  5. That is a masterful plan. Although, I’d be shocked if the boy’s technical ingenuity failed at hooking up a PS2 to our TV. But I’d love to see the condo! (Partly because of its very chicness.) And two TVs means multiple activities going on at once. That’s pretty awesome.

The Gamecube looks like a tiny purse and is totally portable, making up for the awkwardness of the bongos. This might be an actual thing that could happen.
